Running the OpsMgr Web Console from a non RMS server

It is common knowledge that constrained delegation is needed when the OpsMgr Web Console is run from a non RMS server and Windows Authentication is used as authentication mechanism.

Since Kevin Holman has written a very good posting about how to accomplish that on a Windows 2008 Server, I will not repeat it. Just read that posting, to be found here.

However, there is a tool that does all that from an aspx page. So no more need of running all kinds of setspn commands from an elevated cmd-prompt. A fellow consultant pointed me to that tool. Great! The tool is to be found here.

All credits go to Brian Murphy-Booth who is a Support Escalation Engineer at Microsoft, specialized in supporting IIS and ASP.NET.
